I won't be shedding any tears over this, I'd much rather they put the effort into the single player game, personally. But then online play doesn't interest me very much, if it did I'd have a 360.
I would say the same normally, but then again I know that I've been playing more of Resistance: Fall of Man online than I have offline.
I guess that Metroid has always been a focused single player game, but it would have been a nice bonus!
